Now, as a graduate student, she is trying to combine her interest in disease prevention and treatment, which she gained from her pharmaceutical education, with her love for science, hoping that one day she will be able to give back to the community by pushing medicine forward! Giving back to the community is also one of the reasons why she finds Carnaval de Salud a wonderful initiative – she look forward to interacting with patrons and showing them how fascinating science can be! Outside of science, she likes to play tennis, swim and snowboard (though that last one not in Texas), read, and watch movies and shows.
