Carnaval de Salud is staffed by UT Southwestern students, faculty, and staff and is a great opportunity to serve the community as well as make connections within health professions. The goal of the event is to provide a comfortable environment for the underserved community to access free screenings, information about health resources and education, and wellness topics relevant to the local demographic. The population we will be serving is largely Hispanic, so we have an especially large need for Spanish speakers!
The event will be held on Saturday April 25th, 2020 from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm at TJ Rusk Middle School (2929 Inwood Road, Dallas, Tx 75235). Breakfast and lunch will be provided to volunteers. We will have need for volunteers in the following areas:
